Now in it's 2nd year is
In The Heights, the 2008 Tony Award winner for Best Musical. I was actually the last person in my office to see the show as everyone else had seen it and loved it when it first premiered Off-Broadway in the Summer of 2007. Based on their feedback and enthusiasm for the show I figured I would check it out. Of course by then it had closed. I guess I was doomed never to see it. Well before I knew it they announced they were coming to Broadway and I would now finally get to see what all the fuss was about. Six months later the show began previews and I got my tickets. Well all I can say is it was worth the wait. What an amazing show from start to finish. Not only have I seen the show several times but the cast recording is one of my favorites. I listen to it it at work at least two or three times a week. Luckily my co-workers like it too or we could have a revolt on our hands. Probably not but you never know. We tend to be a very opinionated bunch here at Applause. Anyway back to In The Heights. All I can say is go see it. It is a show that will touch your heart and put a smile on your face. Isn't that what Broadway is supposed to do after all? Call
Applause now to get your tickets to see In The Heights on Broadway. It is a winner.
