Wicked is certainly one of my all time favorite musicals. A rarity for me, it's the type of show that keeps you coming back to see it again and again. That's why the show has remained the top selling show on Broadway the last five years. The Wicked fanatics keep coming back, and I guess I'd have to be part of that group having seen it 6-7 times now. I've lost count. I love going back to see the different cast changes and just to see how well it's holding up. Each time I've seen it, I'm never let down. The show stays fresh and sharp with such high energy and the casting of these difficult roles has been amazing. Everyone I've seen has put there own spin on their roles and it always works. It's mainly because of the story and show itself. It's the prequel to The Wizard of Oz and has Glinda the Good Witch befriending Elphaba the eventual Wicked Witch all happening before Dorothy comes along. It's so much fun to watch and you'll leave the theatre singing the songs and wanting to buy the CD that's for sure. If you haven't seen it, you must go. It's one of the greatest shows of all time!
