Now you can obtain amazing seats for 9 to 5 The Musical at Below Face Value prices.
Even though 9 to 5 The Musical didn't get to take home any of the 4 Tony Awards it was nominated for this year, of the more than 20 shows I have personally seen in 2009, I can easily recommend you get yourself some tickets to see this very entertaining Broadway show. One of my favorite actresses is Allison Janney (The West Wing) and she stars in 9 to 5 The Musical, playing the role of office manager Violet Newstaed. She sings, dances and can tell a joke too. Along with Ms. Janney you will get to see her two co-stars-Stephanie J. Block (as Judy) and Megan Hilty (as Doralee). Doralee is the role Dolly Parton played in 9 to 5, the film many years ago. Marc Kudisch rounds out the cast playing in the role of Franklin Hart Jr. Mr. Kudisch has been playing in Broadway shows for quite some time now and he does a fantastic job in the show.
9 to 5 The Musical is a cute little story about an over-bearing boss and his mistreatment of his mostly female staff. After Mr. Hart displays ongoing sexist and bigoted behavior, the three ladies decide to "turn the tables" on him. They decide to kidnap him and keep him occupied for a while. In his absence the ladies make several positive changes in the work place. Throughout the show there are lots of laughs and the music is very good as well.
The music and lyrics were written by Dolly Parton and the book by Patricia Resnick. Joe Mantello, a long-time Broadway favorite directs.
Right now Applause Theater Service in New York has access to discount seats for 9 to 5 The Musical from now through July 10, 2009 but we expect the special offer to extend throughout the summer. So there's no pressure to buy now but if you want to see a "feel-good" musical sometime, consider letting Applause Theater Service in New York help you obtain tickets to this great show.
