Last Chance to See "reasons to be pretty" This Week! Closing Sunday June 14

Sad news indeed! The Broadway production of Neil LaBute's Reasons to Be Pretty will end its run at the Lyceum Theatre on June 14. The hip romantic drama was nominated for three 2009 Tony Awards including Best Play, but won in none of its categories. It really needed to win the Tony for Best Play in order to spark interest and keep the show running. It's been playing to near empty houses for quite some time. It's ashame because the show opened to such wonderful notices from all the top critics. It's hard to understand why it could not find its audience.

Directed by Terry Kinney, Reasons to Be Pretty centers on Greg, whose tight-knit social circle is thrown into turmoil when his off-handed remarks about a female co-worker’s pretty face (and his girlfriend’s lack thereof) get back to said girlfriend. But that’s just the beginning.
The play started performances at the Lyceum on March 13 and opened on April 2, having previously enjoyed a successful run off-Broadway at the Lucille Lortel Theatre. Reasons to Be Pretty stars Thomas Sadoski and Marin Ireland, who were both honored with Tony nominations for their performances, as well as Piper Perabo and Steven Pasquale.

Go see this show this week before it closes. It really is worth it. And we here at Applause can get you in at an amazing price! Below what the normal face value is! Call us at 800-451-9930
